As President Donald Trump continues with his campaign promise of building a border wall, one company has taken it into their own hands to stop it from happening.
The company behind the popular card game Cards Against Humanity is attempting to buy vacant land along the country’s border.
“Donald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans,” said a statement on the company’s website, Cards Against Humanity Saves America. “He is so afraid that he wants to build a twenty-billion dollar wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing.
“So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built.”
In what is suggestive of a parody, the company has promoted a video which seems to explain their situation:
Calling it their “holiday promotion,” the company claims they are saving America from the “injustice, lies, racism, the whole enchilada.”
“It’s 2017, and the government is being run by a toilet. We have no choice: Cards Against Humanity is going to save America.”
As the website states, by sending the company $15, one will receive six surprises in the mail and “America will be saved.” The promotion has already sold out.
Recipients will receive “an illustrated map of the land, a certificate of [their] promise to fight the wall, some new cards, and a few other surprises.”
In a video that follows the theme of Cards Against Humanity being “a party game for horrible people,” the narrator explains how America “seemed to be hanging from a thread,” after the 2016 election.
“But then, a small card game company from Chicago, Illinois, known as Cards Against Humanity, launched a bold campaign to save America,” the narrator said.
However, the Trump administration is fighting to gain control of the land where the wall is to be built. Using eminent domain, the government will be able to take the land for public use if owners refuse to give it up.
However, the number of legal fees that are needed to collect each area of land for the wall was not included in the $18 billion estimate of its construction.
And many fans of the card game took to Twitter to express their support for the promotion.

This is So Awesome…
The Creators of 'Cards Against Humanity' just bought a plot of land on U.S./Mexico border to block Trump's border wall

But others were quick to point out how the company’s campaign would not hold up to the government.
Cards Against Humanity is a typical liberal company. They purchased land along the US-Mexican border to prevent Trump's wall from being built knowing that eminent domain exists & the government almost always wins in those cases, making it as expensive as possible for taxpayers.

If you purchase "cards against humanity" for Christmas gifts, a portion of the money goes to buying land along southern boarder so the company can protest Wall being built. #boycott Cards Againt Humanity

This isn’t the first “holiday promotion” the company has done. Last year, Cards Against Humanity asked people to donate money to help dig a hole — for no apparent reason.
“As long as you keep spending, we’ll keep digging,” the company wrote to those who donated.
On Black Friday in 2015, the company requested “$5 for nothing.”
